There is a new, state of the art, cardio fitness suite at Liberty Fitness. It’s well worth checking out to see how you can improve your fitness, energy levels, stamina and to help burn calories.
What is Cardiovascular Fitness?
Cardiovascular fitness and endurance is the ability of the heart, lungs and blood vessels to deliver oxygen to your body muscle tissues and the ability of the muscles to use oxygen to produce energy for movement. The more efficiently your body delivers oxygen to muscles and tissues, the lower your breathing rate will be.
What is Cardiovascular Exercise?
Cardiovascular exercise is any exercise that raises your heart rate and any activity can count as long as it makes your heart rate increase. A stronger cardio-vascular system means more capillaries delivering more oxygen to cells in your muscles. This enables your cells to burn more fat during both exercise and inactivity.
Activities like walking, jogging, running, cycling, swimming, aerobics, rowing, stair climbing, hiking and many types of dancing are really aerobic activities. Sports such as squash and tennis may also improve your cardiovascular fitness. In short, a cardiovascular exercise is any activity that raises your heart rate for any extended period.
Interval training or cross training on specialist equipment is designed to give you the best cardiovascular exercise. This where the new equipment at Liberty Fitness will be able to help you improve your physical health and wellbeing.
What to do now…
Use of the cardio fitness suite is included in your normal Liberty Fitness membership at no extra cost. Inductions and equipment familiarity sessions last an hour and are available by prior arrangement.
